we liked the breakfast it was ok
did not like its position did not like the view it was dissappointing there is a huge mound of dirt blocking the view .also did not feel safe saw too many young people drinking and aggressive.
THe location of hotel ws very good in a quiet village with several bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. The hotel was spotless and the rooms spacious and well decorated and equipped. quality of food was excellent, breakfast was traditional cooked breakfast and was plentiful. we had dinner in resaurant as part of our deal and it was excellent in all respects. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a gereat stay.
Could not find any fault with the hotel at all.
I was very impressed with the guy on reception, he was very efficient and had a very good manner. The hotel was spotless and everything was just a reach away, however, a shortage of reception staff when checking out, as the guy who was on the evening before was dealing with another customer, I had to wait 10 mins for someone to attend the desk, I didn't mind so much, but another person might take offence.
I didn't like the fact that only two girls were on at breakfast time in the dining room, I personally thought they were quite rude as I asked one of them for a tray to carry a plate and cups to my table, and she informed me that they have no trays, alot of people were caught like this, especially if you have kids and have to carry a number of plates back and forth to the table, also the shortage of food was a big problem, all that was left at 9.45 was two sausages and two pieces of bacon, and when asked if there was any more being cooked the waitress went off to find out and must of ran out the back door, as I didn't see her for the rest of the morning, Breakfast was minimal, sausage bacon and scrambled egg, some beans and mushrooms would be a fantastic filler on the plate and the stomach. I would recommend this hotel as it is spotless, but not for the breakfast.
The hotel was in a nice location close to the main city of galway
The breakfast offering was very poor, standard and choice of hot food was not great and the presentation of same was also very poor, would have paid more for a better breakfast
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable.
There are only a few small issues that I had with services. The containers for the shampoo etc in the shower were sitting on a small shelf and were not enclosed. I am very short sighted and had to lift one to see which was which. In doing so I knocked the other one to the shower floor and broke the mechanism at the top!!! The lighting in the bathroom was also very poor. There was no food available in the evening in the hotel but the staff were very helpful in advising me about good places to eat. In the dining room at breakfast the tea was in a container. I would prefer tea that is made freshly in a teapot.
location was good, only 10euro return by local bus into the city.good value for money, breakfast was average buffet style.
We had booked a double room and then was given a twin room and we couldnt put the beds together,so i told the rception so then 20mins later moved us to a double room, this room they gave us was a disabled room ,i again said i was not happy with this room and they said they were fully booked now i know we only paid 59.00euro for the room but i didnt think this was good enough. We were given the choice of going back to the twin room bot chose to say in the disabled one.
I liked the central location in Oranmore, and also not being rushed out of the room on the morning of the departure. I also liked that each room had a balcony.
I was staying in a fmaily room, which was locked, however it did feel like I was sharing the room with another couple as I could hear their conversations through the wall. Also my credit card was taken off me on my arrival which I assumed was to take the price of the room, however when I checked out I was asked again for my credit card. They had put a pre-autherised amount of €10 through on my card the evening I checked in.
It was very central for my working weekend. The staff were friendly and able to deal with any queries that arose.
The room was for single occupancy, however there was an extra sofa bed made up in the room which took up too much space. I would have preferred the clear space and the sofa to sit on.
Some very nice bars nearby and easy access to Galway city by bus or car, Very pleasant breakfast chef .
Heating in the room should be turned on before your arrival , but not a major problem as it heated up in a short time
The price was excellent and the room was nice although a little dated and basic.
The Staff were amenable and it is well situated outside Galway City
Nothing to do with the Hotel I'm sure but there was a huge pile of rubble blocking the view of Galway Bay from my bedroom window.
The staff were very helpful and very good value for money on the set menu in resturant.
lift down in parking could be better signposted.
hotel clean and rooms fairly big
dont eat the food, we had chowder for lunch, when we were half way through eating it we found it getting a really bitter taste, the breakfast tasted like it had been cooked previously and warmed in the microwave...ugh
Excellent location and smart hotel with good connections for country and city adjacent to premises
A better signposting to the hotelwould be an advantage
Free underground car parking and the desk/office chair in the bedroom! Yes that was it. This is nothing more than a Motel and very poor value for money, strangely located behind a row of shops in a village 20 mins from Galway City.
Like a previous reviewer we booked a luxury double room over looking Galway bay. We were put in a family room with wood laminate (noisy) floor overlooking the ground floor roof. The shower holder on the wall was broken so we had to hold the shower head while trying to wash. We complained as soon as we arrived that this was not what we booked and were told it was no problem we could change rooms now or later. Good attitude we thought so said we had to go to an appointment now but would change at 8.30pm on our return, only to be told at that time that it was not possible as everyone had checked in for the day. Very strange customer service.
